The Philips PUS6561 a UHDTV with three-sided Ambilight and a very handy remote control with a rear mini-QWERTY keyboard. The device runs on Android Google TV, which works fine, but the soc used is too weak (3D) games to play. The viewing angles are good, but the color reproduction from the plant could have been better, if it is to get it right with a calibration. The low contrast is not, but if you use Ambilight, which is less obvious.

Pleasant remote control

It’s not easy to get you to stand out from the competition with an LCDTV, but with Ambilight Philips TVs have a feature that no other brands. This year Ambilight has a whole slew gained new positions, which do not respond to the image content, but on the sound. There is also with you highlight the purpose of the European Football Championship in France, a new wave your flag app, which lets you Ambilight LEDs in the colors of your national flag. A function where our Australian readers will have more fun than the Dutch.

Philips PUS6561 we see in this review, features except the triangular version of Ambilight on a 49 “-uhd screen and runs on version 5.1 of Google’s Android Lollipop TV. The necessary power is provided by a quad-core MediaTek soc. for the operation you get a double-sided remote control with which the back is equipped with a convenient qWERTY keypad: another feature that you only find in Phillips TVs.

Two image sizes available: 49 and 55 inches. Our 49 “-testmodel costs at the time of writing this review about 950 euros. For viewing footage uhd a television can we believe are actually not big enough. That is why we prefer the larger 55” model, that the Price Watch at the time of writing for 1200 euro state.
