Philips has teamed up with MIT




Philips has formed a partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The two do research on health technology and digital lighting.

Scanner Philips As a result of the agreement , Philips will be research for the North American market moving Briarcliff Manor in New York to Cambridge in Massachusetts, home of MIT. The research center of Philips and MIT will include a research budget of $ 25 million, approximately 22.5 million.

Cooperation between the electronics manufacturer and the prestigious institute has a running time of five years. Philips says so too will benefit from the technical knowledge which is present in and around the MIT campus and use it via the Philips Research department to innovate in the core areas of the group’s two primary focuses: medical technology and digital lighting.
