Philips introduces lighting with webcam reacts to environment – update




Philips has introduced Saturday during the light Glow festival in Eindhoven a new lighting technology. The technique is called Aura and responds to environmental influences, such as movement and sound.

The experimental technique uses a webcam, which is connected to a spherical lighting with LED lights. The intention is that the webcam captures movements and sounds, and the lights automatically adjust to the environment. So they can show. Another color

According to Philips Aura seems to be liquid when the webcam adjusts to the environment. Also, the light reacts to the presence of people, which could strengthen the emotions. That way people would feel more comfortable with light.
