Pictures show canceled prototype of Nokia smart watch

There are images appeared on the smart watch the Finnish manufacturer Nokia had in development. The prototype has a square screen and runs on a processor from STMicroelectronics. The smart watch never came out.

It is unknown what features Nokia had in mind for the smart watch. A post on Weibo just displays the images, showing the watch in operation. The imprint of the prototype corresponds to the way in which Nokia denoted prototypes and therefore, there also appears that it is an authentic test specimen.

The watch, according to the diagnostic screen a touchscreen, light sensor and nor memory. The processor according to a photo of the inside a processor from STMicroelectronics STM32F427 type, made with a 90nm Cortex-M4 processor at 180MHz. That processor is intended for devices that want to take a long time with a small battery, while there is little processing power is required.

There were a few years ago rumors of a smart watch of Nokia, which would have had the code name Moonraker. Microsoft canceled the project after the acquisition of the hardwaretak of the Finnish manufacturer. That would have happened in 2014. Concept Images of the smart watch came out earlier via tweeter EvLeaks, but real pictures were not there yet.
