## Pie! It is Pi Day and thus feast

It is Saturday, March 14, or 3/14 in the American date format. That means that the Pi Day, the day that is dedicated to one of the most important mathematical constants. It is the 27th year that Pi Day is celebrated.

This day is dedicated to the famous π, or 3.141592653-so. Physicist Larry Shaw of San Francisco Exploratorium was the founder of the tradition to celebrate Pi Day on March 14th. He did this for the first time 27 years ago.

This year’s celebration of the existence of the mathematical constant extra special for figure fetishists: who the American date format used notes that 14/03/15 exactly are the first digits of pi. In order to 9:26:53, it is already completely party, because then the first ten digits of pi may be formed.

Pi Day is celebrated by many enthusiasts and agencies and not only by math geeks. Traditionally, thereby, how could it be otherwise, eating or throwing pie (pie, for whom the relationship has not noticed). Also popular are the games in which participants try to name as many digits of pi. Meanwhile pi to billions decimals calculated using powerful computers.

For those who do not remember, the number pi is a constant that represents the relationship between the circumference and diameter of a circle. Pi was well before the start of the era used in mathematical calculations.
