Players do not need to open Pokémon Go app to release eggs

It is soon no longer necessary to leave the Pokémon Go app open on a smartphone to let the game detect the distance users are running. This makes it possible to let eggs come out.

The new feature is called Adventure Sync and synchronizes Pokémon Go according to developer Niantic with Google Fit on an Android smartphone and Health on an iPhone, provided the device releases that data. This makes it possible to include all the steps users take in the game for rewards such as hatching eggs and obtaining Candy from a Buddy.

Moreover, users get a weekly overview of the movement they have done in the game. The developer says he has taken the inspiration from the job because many users say they get more exercise by getting rewards in the game. The developer also hints that there are more rewards in the game that are available by walking outside. Adventure Sync will soon appear in the game, but Niantic does not say exactly when it happens.
