Police in Tokyo demonstrates interception drone

Police in Tokyo has created a new anti-drone team. The officers showed their security drones Thursday. The team must maintain a Japanese law that prohibits Tokyo drones in crowded residential areas.

The police team will focus on the protection of important buildings, such as the Department and those in no-fly zones. In Japan, according to The Asahi Shimbun earlier called for the regulation of drones. This call took place especially after a protester radioactive sand managed to put on the roof of the office of Japanese Prime Minister, as reported by the BBC. Breaking the new rules, the driver can be fined the equivalent of about 3,750 euros.

To stop the drones is the first police search for the driver while warnings are announced. If the driver does not react or untraceable prove than the police team puts an interception in drone. It fetches the illegal drone with a net from the air and transfers it to the ground. The police team is the first of its kind in Japan.
