Polish developer Techland opens studio in Vancouver




The Polish developer Techland opens its first overseas studio. Scapes Digital Studios will assist in the development of the open world horror game Dying Light. In Vancouver, Canada The game should come to market in 2014.

The new Digital Studios Scapes are led by Marcin Chady, former technical director of Radical Entertainment, the studio mid-2012 was lifted after Prototype 2 was delivered. How many people work at Digital Scapes is not known. The studio is put to work right away and go assist in the development of Dying Light, the open world horror game that makes Techland for publisher Warner Bros..

With Digital Scapes Techland is taking the first steps outside Poland. The company had so far two locations: a head office in Warsaw and a branch office in Wroclaw. The developer makes games for various publishers and is best known for the Dead Island games that were made for Deep Silver and the Call of Juarez games that were produced for Ubisoft. Dying Light should come on the market in 2014. It appears for Windows and the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
