Porsche has chosen to use Apple CarPlay in the 911 models that have come onto the market in 2017. According to the German automaker is asking Google to want very much specific data about drives while Apple only know if the car drives while CarPlay used.

Online auto magazine Motor Trend reported the news based on a visit to the German automaker in September. Porsche would have told that to the concession agreement with Google is an obligation to send information include vehicle speed, throttle position, coolant and oil temperature and engine speed to the American company. “Basically, Google wants a complete OBD2 -dump every time someone Android Auto start,” writes the editor of Motor Trend.
