Latest MIUI beta brings possibility to record 4k60 video to Pocophone and more

Xiaomi has released a Miui beta for the Pocophone F1, Mi 8 and Mi 8 Pro that makes 4k60 recordings possible. It is the latest in a series of additions that Xiaomi has added to its phones in recent months.

In recent months, Xiaomi has added ‘Game Booster Mode’, face unlock for apps, 960fps video recordings and Widevine L1-drm for Netflix in HD to the phones through the MIUI betas. A changelog for this update, version 9.3.1, is not yet available, but XDA-Developers already has the features and download links already in the mood.

The updates are delivered in the form of .zip files that have to be flashed by hand in the recovery . XDA also refers to a forum member who has only packed the libraries in front of the camera, so flashing is less drastic and users can still get the new camera function.

MIUI is the Android shell of Chinese Xiaomi, just like Samsung TouchWiz and OnePlus has OxygenOS on its phones. However, under the bonnet we are talking about Android 9 Pie.
