PRISM: Germany is very often of NSA spying

As the Mirror reported in its latest edition, shall be a special focus on Germany, which they see as “third-class partner.” This is clear from a document that classifies us as well as a partner, but also as an attack target. One could the signals of the third-class partner to attack – and therefore does just as well.

Second-class partners – Britain, Canada, New Zealand and Australia – are specifically excluded from these attacks. For us, however, there is maximum attention. According to the report half a billion communication links are monthly (!) Monitors. This is significantly more than we should hold for all other EU countries.

Whether mail, chat, SMS or phone call: All these data are collected in the NSA headquarters at Fort Meade. Is stored there who was when connected to whom – that is, the metadata of these communications.

In peak days, it is said, are monitored up to 60 million telephone connections, the average number is 20 million. Come off relatively lightly because the other EU countries. France, for example, can only lament over 2 million telephone connections, which are monitored daily. In Germany there are a few nodes that have a particular focus. So have to Frankfurt, according to the documents as a “base” particularly in view.

This all sounds very scary and shows that we still do not know nearly enough about the extent to which we are spying. The Whistleblower Snowden has kicked off an infinite wave here and we will follow closely what still passes the next time the daylight.
