Project Loon: Google realized internet balloons

No, today is not the first April, but Google has introduced something that can be described as a curiosity with good reason. The proposed Project Loon describes an experimental set-up from the current 30 balloons that were brought into the stratosphere. The stratosphere describes the second layer of the earth’s atmosphere in the range of approximately 15 – 50 km in height. The reason for the Project Loon? According to Google, the Internet is for 2 of 3 people in the world out of reach. For this reason comes from Google’s secret laboratories (Google X) the internet is a balloon.

Here one wants to implement a ring of balloons that are moved by the stratospheric winds around the earth and allow Internet access. It is still a very early project, but you have already implemented a system in which the balloons float in double height of passenger aircraft, while 3G speeds (or faster) realized on earth. Here is hoped that the balloons can bring Internet to the remote places of the world. Small example of private experience: the Grand Canyon in the USA you have no power, this could be one of the places.
