Proto Mail builds new function following question creators of television series Mr. Robot

The makers of the secure email service Proto Mail have added a feature to their service in response to a question from the creators of the series Mr. Robot. Who missed a particular function that the main character would want to have a mail client.

In the series protagonist Elliot used in Proto Mail an “account access log” in which he can look up when there is an attempt to log on to his account. That feature, however, still existed at all, then the makers of Proto Mail who this week added. Other mail services like Gmail and Microsoft, have that feature for some time.

It is according to the developers of the mail service, which will also use the main character in the second season, the first time that makers of a television series affect the development of a security. Proto Mail claims to have hundreds of thousands of users. The first season of Mr. Robot, a series about a hacker in New York, is still ongoing and the final episode will be broadcast next week.
