Proximus and Base customers get 4G access on iPhone




Belgian iPhone users who are customers of Proximus and Base can use the 4G network of their provider. Access to the 4G network was previously blocked by Apple, because only Mobistar a ‘partner’ of the company.

Customers of Proximus and Base got an update to the carrier profiles access to the 4G network, so notify customers of the telcos. Spokesperson Frédérique Verbiest Proximus confirmed to the Belgian newspaper Newspaper that 4G access on the iPhone is now available. By opening up the 4G network is also given iPhone users who are customers of virtual providers that operate on the networks Proximus or Base access to 4G; that applies, for the MVNO Mobile Vikings.
