Proximus comes with locker to stream photos and videos to TV




Proximus coming this fall with a device to stream photos and videos from a smartphone or tablet to a TV. This provider is trying to ensure that television – not the computer – for young people is a central monitor.

Proximus announced that the device, a box that can be connected to the TV decoder, the SwipeBox hot. With that box, customers can according to the provider include photo and video streaming from mobile devices to TVs. It is not yet known when the SwipeBox appears exactly and what it should cost.

Furthermore, reported Friday that Proximus Proximus TV – its IPTV service which include Netflix is using – get a freshening. The service gets a new interface and in addition, through SwipeBox, services like YouTube, Facebook and Internet can conjure up a TV.

Also, a Proximus TV app, which should act in accordance with Proximus as a virtual remote control. This includes scroll through the programming. That is something possible with the Yelo app competitor Telenet late last year was made.

The Belgian provider was finally announced that in the second quarter of this year, 35,000 TV subscriptions extra finalized. The total number of TV subscriptions Proximus facilitates principles amounts to almost 1.7 million. The number of fixed Internet lines increased by approximately 25,000 to 1.8 million lines.
