Push Bullet developers introduce Portal

The developer of the Push Bullet app to stream Android notifications to a PC or Mac, comes with Portal, an app to make it easier to exchange files between a computer and smartphone.

That requires the developer on his new blog. The application is developed to do one thing and that is to move or copy files between a computer and an Android device. Portal works only over a Wi-Fi connection within the same network. Files sent to an Android device, can be found via the Portal app. Files with the known extensions are placed in principle on the right place at the smart device. That is music to music reaches and pictures in the folder. Users of Android 5.0 or higher can also choose where the Portal folder should be located.

Sending or receiving files works through a qr-code that is displayed via the website portal.pushbullet.com. There is no further installation of programs required on the computer.

Sending files can also push through Bullet, but the developers found their own app for that not good enough. With Push Bullet, it is not necessary that both devices are in the same network, but it can not be to large files.

Portal is immediately available in the Play Store and requires no sign up or login.
