Find a Question:
Quantum Break Xbox One seems to run in 720p with excellent AA ‘
According to an analysis from Digital Foundry seem quite strongly that Quantum Break on Xbox One is rendered in 720p resolution. Nevertheless, the technical difficulty make this final assessment on business as “excellent anti-aliasing in the game.
Digital Foundry, the Eurogamer division that makes technical analysis of games and gaming hardware, has on Saturday are quite extensive analysis published by the Xbox One version of the game. Light things like ambient occlusion, screen space lighting and global illumination pipeline was already known that these were rendered in 720p, but the native resolution of the rest of the game was not yet known. The final output resolution of the game to 1080p, so things like HUD elements and menus do have just a higher resolution.
“In virtually every scene that we have tested so far, is a native resolution of 720p emerged from the pixel count tests. So although individual parts of the game may be rendered at a higher resolution, it now appears that the geometry of the game in 720p is rendered, “writes Digital Foundry editor David Bierton.
The team at Digital Foundry has trouble rendering resolution definitively identify due to the combination of motion blur, film grain and suspected temporal antialiasing, with information from previous frames is used to create the current frame “smoother”. In some cleaner, static scenes seem to run the game, moreover, earlier in 900p, but this observation is the exception rather than the rule.
Furthermore, Digital Foundry calls the draw and extra distance for textures and shadows. Which is sometimes in the name of performance so low that what distracts from the presentation of the game. The result, based on the first few hours of gameplay, is that the game usually reliable running at 30fps even with intense action scenes.
Altogether Digital Foundry claims that although there look like the game is rendered in 720p, but that implementate anti-aliasing is so well executed that the need for a 1080p resolution also removed. It is not the first time that developer Remedy would be well off with a lower rendering resolution: the Xbox 360 version of Alan Wake had one as low as 960×540. The picture quality was as good thanks to include the use of 4xMSAA, according to Digital Foundry.
The game is on April 5 for the Xbox One and Windows. At the last platform running game according Remedy for maximum 30fps, but the developer says there needs to be a lot of work on that version, so it may change. The Windows version of the game will also exclusively for the Windows Store and Windows 10.Viewing:-185
