Raspberry Pi has sold 5 million times

The foundation behind the Raspberry Pi reports that there are now more than five million copies of the small computer went on the counter. The mini-computer is thus in three years to be among the best-selling computer of British origin.

The delivery of the Raspberry Pi started in April 2012 and at that time there were already 350,000 orders within . After two years the counter stood at 2.5 million, and again a year later this had risen to 5 million, let the Raspberry Pi Foundation on Twitter know .

“In our view, this means that we have ever gone in less than three years of nothing to the best-selling computer manufacturer in the United Kingdom,” said the foundation.
