Razer announces compact Android TV console




Razer has announced at CES Forge TV, an Android TV rotating micro console. Games on the Forge TV are playable with the optional Serval controller or the Razer Turret, a wireless keyboard with gaming mouse.

The Forge TV measuring 105x105x17mm and is internally equipped with a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 805 soc. The quad-core SOC includes an Adreno 420 GPU. There is 2GB of memory available, along with 16GB of internal flash storage. For the wireless Making connections is 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1 are available. The console also includes a Gigabit Ethernet port, an HDMI 1.4 output and a USB 3.0 port. The console itself costs 99.99 euros and should still be available in the first quarter.

To send Razer provides for 50 euros extra games Serval controller with. Up to four controllers can be connected via Bluetooth to the console. An additional controller costs 79.99 euros. Another option that Razer calls the Turret keyboard with a single mouse is included. This will cost 129.99 euros.

Razer has also Cortex: Stream announced, an application that allows to stream from a PC to a TV which games Forge TV is connected. The tool is not finished yet: in autumn beta should be available. Furthermore, the micro console will coped with apps for Android TV and include Google Cast supported, which allows the device must have the same opportunities as a Chromecast dongle.
