Release of the iPhone and the iPhone 6 6 Plus has led to a drop in market share of Android worldwide

Analysts Kantar Worldpanel confident that Apple is waiting for the IV quarter of record. The main reason for the success of the American giant computer electronics will be high sales of the iPhone and the iPhone 6 6 Plus in the United States, Australia and key European countries.

In a study of Kantar Worldpanel ComTech, held within three months from August to October this year, said the success of Apple in the smartphone market with new models of iPhone. The share of mobile iOS platform in the main European countries (Germany, UK, Spain, Italy and France) increased significantly after the presentation of iPhone and iPhone 6 6 Plus.

Compared to the same period last year, the market share of iOS the average for European countries rose by 5.9%, or 20.7% as a whole. During the same period, the share of Android in the region decreased by 2.6% to 69.4%, while the Windows Phone this index decreased by 1.3% to 8.7%.

In the UK, Apple has made great strides in August-October 2014. With the launch of iPhone and iPhone 6 6 Plus iOS share of the local market of smart phones increased by 10.4% to a record 39.5%. If you view the reports Kantar in previous years, we can see that such a sharp rise from Apple has ever had. For example, last year over the same period the share of the company from Cupertino in the UK rose slightly more than 1%. It is obvious that the emergence of the iPhone with larger diagonal display helped the company to significantly increase the number of loyal customers.

Kantar analyst Dominic Sanebo says the surge in demand for Apple products was recorded in almost all key markets, including the US, Europe and Australia. In China, under the control of a US corporation is 15.7% of smartphone sales, and a dominant position here still holds Android with 82.9 percent indicative of the presence.
