Remake Homeworld: Cataclysm difficult because source code looking




On February 25 appears Homeworld Remastered Collection, which includes a polished version of Homeworld and Homeworld 2 are bundled. Some fans are disappointed that Homeworld: Cataclysm is not in the bundle. That’s because the source code is lost.

Cataclysm was made by small Barking Dog Studios, the game delivered in 2000. The studio used for the game is a modified version of the engine that Homeworld was made. Cataclysm was originally designed as an extension for Homeworld, but was promoted by publisher Sierra to stand alone game. It was the first game that delivered Barking Dog Studios. The studio made a second game, the tactical shooter Global Operations, to then be bought by publisher Rockstar. If Rockstar Vancouver studio made the controversial Bully, to then be merged with the studio Rockstar Toronto.
