Renders show possible appearance of new 12.9 “iPad Pro

Renders have emerged that may show the appearance of the yet unannounced 12.9 “iPad Pro. For example, on the renders it can be seen that the tablet has thin screen edges and does not have a Home button.

The cad files-based renders were published by MySmartPrice in collaboration with OnLeaks. The site warns that they may not be 100% accurate. The published images would give an impression of the largest iPad Pro. Compared to the current models, it is striking that the screen edges on all sides of the device are the same, that the screen has rounded corners and that there is no physical Home button at the bottom.

It is therefore obvious that the unlocking of the iPad is done on the basis of Face ID, which was also mentioned in previous rumors . On the front of the tablet you can see the necessary camera, which is included in a continuous bezel. Therefore, there seems to be no question of the notch introduced with the iPhone X. In addition, there is a 3.5 mm jack.

MySmartPrice mentions that there is also a button-like recess on the side where the volume buttons are located, whose function is not entirely clear. It is not the Smart Connector, because it can be found above the charging port.

It is to be expected that Apple will announce the new iPad Pro model along with a smaller 10.5 “version at its event on September 12. It recently sent out invitations , and Apple would also like to announce three new iPhones.
