Review: ASUS MeMO Pad HD 7

The ASUS MeMO Pad HD 7 was presented in early June at Computex in Taipei and is a cheap 7-inch tablet with quad-core processor. It’s been a few days also available in Germany and we have tested it.

7-inch tablets are indeed currently very popular and ASUS has come to specialize in cheap but good tablet. First came the Nexus 7 which was created along with Google, then the FonePad and now the ASUS MeMO Pad HD 7 With only 149 € it is very cheap while still offering quality components. The display with a diagonal of 7-inch features an HD resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and the processor is a quad-core installed MediaTek sufficient for all applications and games. In our video review I present you the tablet before, start times also ShadowGun and look me to the camera, which delivers remarkably good results, as you can see in our video sample, I have included it here before.

The 5-megapixel rear camera can record video in 1080p, and offers an auto-focus. A photo light does not exist unfortunately. The tablet has access to 1 GB of RAM, the user gets 16 gigabytes of storage, this can be expanded using microSD card.

To give you an approximate idea of the MediaTek quad-core performance, is I have also run the popular and freely available AnTuTu benchmark. The result can be found in my video at the end.

A tablet as you would actually want. Good technical data at a decent price!
