Review: Nimbuzz on Android
General / from 13/08/2009
Nimbuzz for me was an old Nokianer and Windows Mobile users always the first choice and installed app on my smartphone. Now I’m Android and still had to wait on the port for the Google Operating System and was surprised when the last days Nimbuzz appeared in the Market. Installed and started immediately. Nimbuzz shines here in the usual clear, orange design. ICQ, Windows Live, Facebook, AIM, Skype, Yahoo, GTalk, MySpace, Hyves, Jabber, GaduGadu, and even StudiVZ, Giovani and SchuelerVZ are integrated, a long list that really should convince every user of Nimbuzz. Unfortunately not every action is connected with minimum waiting time, but annoying in the long run. Smilies are loaded only with me by MSN and Skype contacts and not just with ICQ. The contact list is designed for finger friendliness very large font things, but perhaps that is not Windows Mobile with Android necessary. On a brief touch on the contact you want to only open a profile page with display start of the current status and a button to the chat. For prolonged pressure on the contact opens directly the chat window. In the chat window and minimal waiting time after each message is written to be expected. Positive, writes my opposite, a message is displayed that he just typed. About crashes or sudden reconnects like Meebo I can not tell, Nimbuzz runs notchy but it runs. Another negative point … sometimes it does not respond to finger touches and just let himself controlled via trackball, minimize and open but has passed to it working again. Nimbuzz is definitely still in beta status and immature, at least the Android version. To a well-functioning version I can recommend you for the transition eBuddy.
I hope you were able to get a little insight into the BETA Nimbuzz on Android. Even if no offical name “BETA” has turn back.Viewing:-140
