ROBOTS MURATA SHOWED BEAUTIFUL CHEERLEADING
Now Tumbler no surprise, but for many of the Soviet people, this toy was the first in my life. She showed the children the laws of physics that allow the doll to swing from side to side and never fall. Japanese company Murata Manufacturing has decided to improve the roly-poly doll, applying to it the laws of robotics. The result is a funny robot cheerleader balancing on the ball. Cheerleading – spectacular performance dance team to entertain the audience in between games at the stadiums.
Built-in gyroscopes and infrared sensors allow the robot to achieve the ideal of stability and synchronization in the dance. Instead of using the wheel operation of Murata ball with which they maintain balance in motion. Remain upright helping them three modern gyroscopic sensor technology for the detection of inverse pendulum angle, the newspaper Daily Mail.
Similar gyroscopes found in digital cameras, navigation systems, and more often in electronic stability control (ESC), which keep the car on the road and prevent skidding.
In addition, each robot is equipped with four infrared sensors and five ultrasonic microphones by which he discovers the surrounding objects even in complete darkness. Tracking speed of sound and light waves, the system determines the relative position of the robots on the total area of 16 square meters.
In addition, Murata together with laboratory Matsuno at Kyoto University has developed advanced technology to manage a group of 10 robots. Communication machines occurs wirelessly and controlled by a special program. The researchers hope that one day this technology will be used in the transport sector.
Robot Murata cheerleaders will be shown during the exhibition CEATEC -2014, which will be held from 7 to 11 October in Tokyo.Viewing:-121
