Rockstar has delivered sixty million copies of GTA V

Rockstar has delivered more than sixty million copies of Grand Theft Auto V, let the owner of the studio Take-Two Interactive know. This is evident from the quarterly results of the company, which further demonstrate that there was run a significantly lower turnover.

Despite the high number of copies of GTA V which managed to sell the company, shrank from Take-Two sales. The bulk of revenue was due to the sale of GTA V and games from the Borderlands series, just like last year. Interestingly, the revenue from digital purchases such as TLC and in-game currency rose by 45 percent compared to last year. This income may come mainly from GTA Online.

In the previous quarter figures showed Take-Two has managed to have supplied 54 million copies of GTA V. In the past quarter are there so added 6 million copies. This makes it one of the best selling games all time. Only Minecraft, Wii Sports and Tetris score higher on the rankings when it comes to games for all platforms. Grand Theft Auto V released in 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. This was followed by versions for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

In the period October to December 2015 Take-Two generated a turnover of 414.2 million dollars. A year earlier it was another $ 531.1 million in the same period. This makes the company suffered in the quarter a loss of $ 42.4 million, representing approximately 38.2 million. Nevertheless, the results according to Take-Two Interactive better than expected.
