Rumor: AMD comes with efficient video card based on Tonga GPU soon




AMD is planning to release on the basis of a new energy-efficient GPU codenamed Tonga. Within three months, a video card Claims that at least the site Videocardz. The card should probably go up against the GTX 750 and 750 Ti Nvidia.

Tonga is not a high-endprocessor but a GPU for mainstream cards with 2GB memory. AMD has focused on changing the architecture to significantly reduce the consumption-oriented, claiming Videocardz that brings more information about video cards out right early. The name of the card is still unknown, but the site mentions R9 275X as a logical indication.

It is unclear what changes AMD has made, but mention is made of functionality called PowerTune Boost. GCN functionalities like Mantle, True Audio, and possibly XDMA CrossFire would also be present. The GPU would not have produced at least at 20nm and also for High-Bandwidth-Memory, which were previously rumored, is no support available.
