Rumor: Android and BlackBerry with a physical keyboard gets Snapdragon 808-soc




The upcoming BlackBerry slider with physical keyboard and possibly Android running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808-soc and has a 5.4 “screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. It claims a BlackBerry fan site.

The device should appear on the market in November, reports N44b, a site that proved more accurate information about unannounced BlackBerrys have. Although a display with a diagonal of 5.4 “with Android devices has not yet occurred, Japan Display does have such a screen in the range. This screen has the resolution of 2560×1440 pixels.

The smartphone, code-named Venice, has besides a large touchscreen a physical keyboard that slides out from underneath the screen. This is done in portrait mode, such as, inter alia, in the past it was the case with the Torch 9800.

The Venice would run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808, one of the most recent socs processor designer. It is a hexacore, with two Cortex A57-cores and four Cortex A53-cores, combined with a 418-Adreno GPU. This makes it a much more recent than the old MSM8960 soc from the recently released leap of the Snapdragon 801 from the Passport .

BlackBerry, the device has already been shown several months ago, but it called when no further details of the phone. The smartphone with a physical keyboard, according to a recent rumor running Android, BlackBerry because the device wants to show that its services run equally well on another operating system on its own BlackBerry 10.
