Rumor: Apple is experimenting with USB c and wireless charging for next iPhone

Apple is experimenting according to a new rumor with technologies like USB c and wireless charging for its next iPhone. It would also consider putting the fingerprint scanner on the screen while 3D Touch support for multitouch should get.

According to a reasonably Weibo user who has published more accurate information about unannounced smartphones, Apple currently has five prototypes with different innovations with which it is testing. GforGames notes that most of them will never reach the market.

Apple would experiment with a wireless charging, a technology that a few years in, among other Lumia’s, has been in Nexus phones, which can also be found in the Galaxy S6. It would also like to add a USB-C port for both data transfer and audio. That’s in line with a rumor last week that Apple no longer wants to use the 3.5mm jack for headsets in the next iPhone. It is unknown whether Apple Lightning to USB would replace c, but that is obvious.

In addition, the fingerprint scanner on the screen might be inside. That is not impossible, because several manufacturers are working on embedding scanners behind materials such as metal and glass. The screen would also support multitouch 3D Touch and might of the OLED type, rather than the LCDs that Apple uses since the release of the first iPhone. The Apple Watch also has an OLED display. Apple is also playing with the idea of using multiple cameras side by side, including the Honor 6 Plus Huawei.

The rumor was not verifiable, but it often happens that often obscure but correct information about the next iPhone comes out at this stage. Apple released the iPhone 6s-generation end of September and the alleged iPhone 7 will likely launch sometime in the second half of next year.
