Rumor: Google is working on ‘health coach’ software

According to a new rumor, Google is working on the software ‘Coach’, which focuses on health and fitness. In addition to keeping track of movement, the search giant wants to give users suggestions for food, for example.

Google calls the Project Wooden and the preliminary name for it is Google Coach, says Android Police . Thanks to artificial intelligence, the search giant wants to give useful suggestions for sports, health and nutrition within the service, which primarily focuses on use on smartwatches with Wear OS. To avoid too many notifications, Coach bundles messages about various topics in a conversation interface.

Coach, like Google Fit, has to keep track of movement, with the addition of workouts and other elements. Users must also be able to monitor their power via the software. The software then provides suggestions for obtaining healthy food in the neighborhood based on location and patterns.

Coach should also work on phones after the debut on Wear OS, although tracking will only work via the smartwatch. Other platforms will also have to support the software in the future. Android Police does not care about when Coach has to make his debut. Google reportedly reported smartwatches in its Pixel line of products this fall and that would be a logical time to show the software for the first time.
