The iPhones that Apple releases this year, according to Macotakara have a Lightning port. The switch to usb-c will therefore remain off for the time being, although Apple would already carry out tests with iPhones with usb-c.

Japanese Macotakara reports that Apple will stick to the Lightning connection in 2019. The site brought out last year that the iPad Pro would switch to usb-c and was right.

Earlier this year, Bloomberg wrote that Apple is conducting tests with iPhones for 2019 with a usb-c port . It is possible that these devices are there, but Apple does not release them. It is obvious that Apple is switching to USB-C at a time, as it did with its iPad Pro.

According to Macotakara, Apple is also supplying the 5W charger this year, which is not suitable for fast charging with its iPhones. Since the iPhone 8, Apple’s phones are compatible with fast chargers, but users have to purchase a charger other than the one supplied for this.
