Rumor: Laptops with AMD processors Zen come in second half of 2017

Laptops with processors based on AMD’s appearance Zen architecture allegedly in the second half of 2017. AMD would want to control the desktop in early 2017 and later in the year will bring efficient chips for laptops.

That writes Wccftech, who relies on sources that were familiar with the matter. The mobile version of the Zen generation will bear the name Raven Ridge, a TDP between 4 and 35 watts gain , are produced in 14nm and high bandwidth memory support for the GPU. With an appearance for laptops in the second half of 2017, AMD is different from Intel’s strategy: the competitor brings his Kaby Lake generation now to saving laptops and until early 2017 for desktops.

Zen architecture is the first entirely new architecture from AMD since Bulldozer, which came on the market in 2011. AMD promises with Zen to make a leap forward in terms of performance and consumption and indicates that the new processors will be able to measure in terms of instructions per cycle as Intel processors. The chipmaker demonstrated this earlier with Blender benchmark where an AMD processor Zen octacore a similar result than achieved an Intel Broadwell-octacore that ran at the same clock speed.

Last week was already known that the Zen desktop processors will hit the market in February 2017, accompanied by a new X370 motherboard chipset.
