Rumor: Lenovo two 4G smartphones with Intel socs out

Lenovo after the acquisition of Motorola’s third largest smartphone maker in the world, will be early next year two new smartphones with 4G and Intel socs release. They are the first smartphones with Intel processors that have 4G support on the soc.

Lenovo One of the devices is designed for the Chinese market only, but the other must come in other parts of the world. Lenovo thus primarily aimed at developing countries, writes Cnet. There are few details are known about the devices, such as screen size and resolution. There are no pictures of the aircraft.

The smartphones run on an unnamed 64bit Intel Atom soc. Which is probably linked to the Intel XMM7260, modem chip from Intel with support for 4G +. It is for the first time in a while that a great brand a soc Intel used in a device. Lenovo did that itself already some time ago and two years ago came Motorola, now owned by Lenovo, also with an Intel smartphone, the Razr i .

The announcement follows presumably smartphones at CES, an electronics fair which takes place over several weeks in the US city of Las Vegas. Lenovo is due to the acquisition of Motorola’s third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world and second only to Apple and Samsung in front of him. The Chinese manufacturer shall not be smartphones in the Netherlands or Belgium.
