The next big iPhone gets a variant with dual camera at the back. This was reported by an analyst who has generally made correct predictions about unannounced Apple products. It has long been clear that Apple has played in each case with the idea.

It is not yet clear exactly what Apple wants to achieve with the dual camera lens. MacRumors reports on the basis of a report from KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo that he expects this fall a variant of the ‘iPhone Plus 7′ will appear with double lens to implement a system like this would simulate optical zoom.

Apple could use the technology developed LinX. The iPhone-maker took LinX last year. The Israeli company specialized in the development of algorithms for the use of multiple cameras in smartphones.

LinX cites the advantages of its technology, the camera modules can be thinner. It can use Apple’s good, because the cameras of iPhones in current models protrude slightly. Furthermore, the system allows for better low-light photography with less noise as possible.

Kuo mentions that the iPhone dual camera will be possible a more expensive version of a regular model because Apple would not yet be able to produce sufficient quantities of the necessary hardware.

A system with two cameras on smartphones is not news on smartphones. The first phones with two cameras appeared in 2011, when for enabling 3D photos. HTC released in 2014. One M8 dual camera, including Huawei followed with the Honor 6 Plus. These two devices do include “afterwards focus’ and blurren backgrounds as possible. The LG V10 has dual front camera to allow photos with a greater angle.
