Rumor: Samsung comes with Gear 360-VR camera

The SamMobile site reports that Samsung will soon come with a virtual reality camera that can shoot 360-degree image with a resolution of 3840×1920 pixels. It is intended that the camera via bluetooth with a telephone can be connected.

It is unclear when the official announcement follows Samsung, SamMobile suspect that shortly after the announcement of the Galaxy S7 will be in February. The site reports that can only be confirmed so far that the camera is compatible with the Galaxy S7. The camera would be equipped with its own battery and an unknown amount of built-in memory.

The camera can record in different ways, namely ‘vr view’ and ‘dual view’. There are also opportunities for panoramic, accelerated and delayed recording. When there is recorded in ‘lens’ single-mode, the device can detect an angle of 180 degrees, with a resolution of 1920×1920 pixels. In dual-mode lens’ can be around image recorded with a resolution of 3840×1920 pixels.

It would also be possible to stream the captured image directly to a connected phone. Or, it is also possible to stream to other devices is not yet clear. It is obvious that the camera can be used with any phone that is present in a Gear-VR goggles. Whether this is possible, is not clear. The price of the camera is unknown.
