Rumor: Samsung wants to work with Microsoft to HoloLens
Samsung is looking reportedly working with Microsoft to develop the HoloLens. The Korean electronics company sees include opportunities for applications in the medical sector. Microsoft could use Samsung’s sensor-knowledge.
Samsung was planning to work together on the HoloLens to strengthen its position in the market for wearables. “Samsung is looking for opportunities to provide innovative, pioneering products to develop. HoloLens is a key technology for the healthcare and medical devices,” says a source from Korea Times who is familiar with the plans for cooperation.
Cooperation would be beneficial for both parties, as is thought at least in Korea, because Samsung then sensor and processor expertise can bet, while Microsoft is a great ally more likely would have been HoloLens elevate to a standard. Microsoft and Samsung would cooperate closely all recent times. Thus, both companies have decided to stop patent litigation and provides its Samsung Galaxy S6 models of Office apps.
It is not known how Microsoft has responded to the possible rapprochement of the Korean group. According to rumors the HoloLens includes Cherry Trail-soc Intel. It is unknown whether there is technology used by Samsung for the augmented reality goggles. During Build 2015 spoke invented the HoloLens, Alex Kipman, the hope that other manufacturers ‘holographic computers’ would come, which Microsoft does not seem to keep to himself the technique.
