Rumor: Samsung working on a budget smartphone with LTE and Android 4.4




Samsung supposedly working on a smartphone called Galaxy J1, which features a 4.3 “screen with resolution of 800×480 pixels. The low-endapparaat does have 4G LTE through. A release date and price are still unknown.

The rumors are derived from a source at SamMobile, which has also given reliable information according to the site in the past. According SamMobile Galaxy J1 has a 4.3 “screen with the relatively low resolution of 800×480 pixels. Instead of a soc or Qualcomm’s own Exynos series is chosen for a model of Marvell. It is the PXA1908 a 64-bit quad-core based on the Cortex A53 with a clock speed of 1.2 GHz.

Furthermore, the Galaxy J1 would have 1GB ram and the software based on Android 4.4. On the back is probably a 5-megapixel camera with front a 2-megapixel camera. There is 4GB of storage and the battery has a capacity of 1850mAh. Furthermore rumored links to be established with 4G networks using LTE.

Given the specifications, it is a basic model which is sold for a low price. Samsung would like to replace with the Galaxy the J1 also cheap Galaxy Y series. However, on the exact price is still unknown. Also about the release date is still no information available.
