Rumor: several US carriers to buy Yahoo

Three major US carriers are in talks with Yahoo about a takeover. That rumor reports tech site Recode. It comes to Verizon, AT & T and cable company Comcast. The management of Yahoo wants a buyer offers ten billion dollars, converted currently around nine billion euros.

Yahoo this week entered into talks with major US carriers, thus Recode. Microsoft has been involved in these discussions, because the company is willing to put in money at a possible takeover. It wants to ensure that acquires a company with which it can work well together Yahoo. Yahoo and Microsoft have for some years to continue intensive cooperation and wants to Microsoft after a takeover.

The Internet company announced last month that it is for sale. The largest division of Yahoo has a stake in the Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba, but that is not included in the sale. Yahoo’s own activities would be worth according to potential bidders between six and eight billion dollars.

Microsoft Yahoo tried eight years ago to take over 45 billion dollars, but the hostile takeover broke down. Then the company started working together.
