Rumor: universal apps come in November for Xbox One




Microsoft would plan to developers at the end of this year to give the opportunity to publish universal apps for the Xbox One: apps that also run on Windows 10. In May, the group would see a preview of the SDK for this release.

Microsoft will announce the details of the combination of universal apps and the Xbox One at its Build conference in April. That claims The Verge based on sources who are familiar with Microsoft’s plans. In May, a preview of the SDK for app development and in the summer, developers can put it to work.

This relates to all developers, while now only allowed to a select group of developers of apps for the Xbox One. That current apps continue to run on the console, but Microsoft gets in November on a platform for universal apps that also on Windows 10 platforms can run.
