Rumor: Windows 10 delay Redstone 2 comes with new hardware
The reason why Microsoft delays Windows 10 Redstone update seems familiar: the update will announce some more support Microsoft devices. Earlier it became known that the major update would only come out in the spring of 2017, but why was not yet clear.
That is able to ZDNet report from sources not wish to be named. The first update called RS1 due in June this year. The second update, RS2, was originally in November this year should come in by users, but appears delayed until the spring of 2017. The first update will reportedly improvements in the area of Universal App Platform. That update should ensure that the Windows Store can be accessed via the Xbox One and that there is more win32 and iOS apps to be using ports in the store.
What adjustments need to sit right in RS2, is not known. It seems logical that some features that did not make RS1, still be implemented. Now it knows ZDNet adding that ensures the development of certain hardware for the postponement. Sources have reported on ZDNet that Microsoft gives priority to new features in Windows 10 that arise from what the Devices group to run better new hardware.
With improvements that are specifically aimed at certain hardware, could include the Surface Pen, Hello authentication technology and improved Continuum functionality to mobile devices in order to create a ‘desktop’ PC.
The delay may have to do with wanting to avoid certain problems that require a longer test period, as the problems which emerged in the Book Surface and Surface Pro 4 which both had to contend with power problems.
