The Russian site PCPortal has in the past been more Windows information right out before the official announcements were made, and now publishes a member of the site a screenshot of an update message that appears to come from Microsoft. Neowin discovered the posting. According to the report there will be August 12 ‘August Update with new functionality and features. It would be a standalone update that coincides with patch tuesday of August: the second Tuesday of the month when Microsoft holds its patch rounds.

Windows 8.1 Update 2 would only have to solve security issues and stability improvements should bring. This update of Update 1, who brought new functionality varies.
