RWS test system to prevent accidents with car trouble
Rijkswaterstaat is going to do a three-month trial with Flister, a system that can warn motorists in advance where a car is parked with bad luck. The system should prevent motorists driving up the yellow pickups Rijkswaterstaat.
The system works with a signal that can give Rijkswaterstaat staff about their position, says Rijkswaterstaat. That signal appears as a message in the app Flister, but developers can also incorporate it in their own apps, such as navigation applications. Among other FlitsMeister has Flister so already built.
The signal warns road users in the vicinity of a breakdown or accident that at that particular spot stationary cars, allowing drivers to adjust their speed in time. The trial will run on several highways and provincial roads in Flevoland, and lasts for three months.
The system itself is capable of more. Thus saith the company behind Flister a siren Radar, which road users eg alarms about approaching ambulances. That should make the flow smoother for ambulances because road users are prepared for their arrival.Viewing:-180
