Samsung and Apple to stop virtually all patent lawsuits against each other

Apple and Samsung to stop virtually all patent lawsuits against each other. That let the two companies said in a joint statement. Only matters in the United States are still the companies stop including the lawsuits in the Netherlands.

Both companies stop lawsuits include Germany, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea and the Netherlands, say the companies. It is unknown why the cases in the United States go on. The end of the court cases in Europe also means that it will no longer be able to enforce a ban on sales of the products of both companies in the Netherlands or Belgium. Possible

Apple and Samsung are no licenses agreed, according to the statement. As a result, there does not seem that it is a complete ‘patent peace “but want both companies probably limit legal fight to only one country: the United States.

The patent battle began in 2011, when Apple accused Samsung to have copied the Galaxy S. The lawsuits have total run in several dozen countries, the design and interface of its iPhone, but there was altogether surprisingly little off. Following a ruling by a Dutch court Samsung had to display animation when changing photos in a gallery and let Apple redesign the Galaxy Tab 7.7 from the IFA fair catch in 2011.
