Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), which currently manufactures processors A8 and A8X for iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Air 2, got only 30% of orders to supply Apple A9.

According to available information, TSMC will produce Apple A9 processors to 16-nanometer technology. This means that the chip will be developed for the production of two variants, and different devices can be found Apple different modifications A9.
