Samsung brings browser for use with Gear VR

Samsung brings out a browser for use in combination with the Samsung Gear VR. The app will be named Samsung Internet for Gear VR and should users of the VR goggles allow the parties to consider all the way up while browsing in a virtual environment.

A beta version of Samsung Internet for Gear VR is available from December 2 in the Oculus Store. The app works with all versions of the Galaxy S6, the Note 4 and Note5. According to Samsung supports the special browser 360-degree and 3D videos and can also be viewed all HTML5 videos on the web in a virtual environment.

Text can be entered using voice recognition, but there is also a keyboard present in the Fri-browser. Furthermore, the browser contains a ‘Gaze Mode’, where users can choose menus by simply staring at. Samsung also promises a ‘trusted’ browsing experience thanks to the presence of bookmarks and a tab manager.

Samsung released its second version of the VR Gear in November on the market. The headset, which has a suggested retail price of 99.99 euros, works in conjunction with the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge, edge S6 + and Galaxy Note5.
