Samsung is working on the development of large amoled screens for laptops, which can fold and thus provide new possibilities for laptops. That has been announced by the vice president of marketing of Samsung’s PC division.

Samsung is working with screen manufacturers to develop flexible amoled panels for laptops, said Samsung’s Lee Min-cheol according to the Korea Herald . According to him, the flexible screens not only provide for folding and unfolding, but also offer new possibilities. He did not explain which options Samsung thought.

The Samsung employee made his statements at the Korean announcement of a new 13.3 “laptop named” Flash. “That laptop must stand out with an Intel 802.11 ac 2X2 network card with a theoretical bandwidth of 1.7Gbit / s and with a striking design with round keys Samsung has not been using PCs in the Benelux for years.

There are more manufacturers who seem to work on laptops with curved screens. Lenovo showed a concept of such a device last year and, according to a rumor, is working with LG on a 13-inch tablet that might serve as a 2-in-1 device.
