Samsung gets 7,5Gbit / s test successor lte

Samsung has a test set-up for what the company ‘calls 5g’ connectivity, throughput achieved by 7,5Gbit / s. Samsung made use of the 28GHz band. Using the same technique, the company managed to get in a moving vehicle. Speeds of 1,2Gbit / s

The Korean company has been experimenting with more techniques for unassigned 28GHz frequency band. By comparison, in the Benelux countries, the 800MHz-, 1600MHz- and 2600MHz bands used for LTE. Samsung knows how to make use of the frequencies with wavelengths of a few millimeters, thanks to technologies that the company called Hybrid Adaptive Array Technology. Use

The speed of 7,5Gbit / s is a sevenfold increase in the speed of Samsung in May 2013 fetched when a throughput of 1 Gbit / s was achieved using the 28GHz network. The throughput of 1,2Gbit / s was driving at a speed of 100km / h, put down and it would be the first time that such a Samsung mobile test outdoor successfully managed to keep.

Samsung talks about ‘5g speeds “that are thirty times higher than those at 4g lte. However, it is far from certain that the frequency bands, techniques and speeds will be used in future networks; 5g is in fact still in development and a standard is not fixed yet. Samsung itself estimates that the technique used in 2020 as a successor to LTE.
