Samsung has announced a mobile chips 4-GB memory

Following the release of fableta Galaxy Note 3 c 3 GB of RAM on board a South Korean manufacturer of mobile devices, the company Samsung, decided it was time to increase the amount of available memory in future devices and announced the RAM-4GB modules for mobile gadgets.

The world’s first 8-Gbps, dual-channel low-power modules LPDDR4 open the door for the production of more powerful smartphones and other devices, which are worth to expect next year.

According to the portal Samsung Tomorrow, the new modules will be able to offer “the highest level of density, performance and energy efficiency for mobile tasks.” The new chips will not only allow the owners of devices with 4 GB of memory to enjoy a faster and more responsive performance of their devices, but also bring a number of new technological opportunities. The chips will support endowed with very high resolution displays and promise to reduce overall power consumption.

“The new generation of memory modules LPDDR4 DRAM will make a significant contribution to the development of the world’s mobile RAM and will soon become an integral part,” – says Yong Hyun Chung, executive vice president, Memory Sales & Marketing of Samsung Electronics.

“We will continue to introduce the most advanced technologies of mobile RAM, while being always one step ahead of the rest of the industry, and enabling global OEMs (OEM) to deliver innovative mobile devices, which will fully meet the needs of today’s consumers.”

According to the company Samsung, the new 8-gigabit memory chips LPDDR4 made on 20-nanometer process technology, which means that this memory will have the highest density of DRAM-available components on the market today. Also, new modules use the new interface IO Low Voltage Swing Terminated Logic (LVSTL), providing a data rate of 3200 megabits per second contact, which is two times higher in comparison with what can offer 20-nanometer chip memory LPDDR3, which are now massively and used.

According to that same Samsung, the new chips promise a 50 percent performance gain compared with the fastest chips LPDDR3 and DDR3, and thus consume about 40 percent less power, requiring only 1.1 V.

New modules will be sent to the mobile phone market premium, which will be located smartphones and tablets with large displays UHD-and ultra-thin notebooks.
