Samsung is 256GB ufs 2.0 storage for smartphones and tablets

Samsung’s mass production of embedded memory based on the ufs 2.0 standard launched a storage capacity of 256GB. This is twice as much as the ufs memory of last year and it is also a lot faster.

The 256GB embedded memory for high-end smartphones and tablets performs at random read and write IOPS 45,000 and 40,000 respectively. A year ago announced Samsung 128GB memory based on the UFS standard that 19,000 and 14,000 IOPS put down in such reading and writing activities. Including for the Samsung Galaxy S6 put it in memory then and now make many more manufacturers ufs memory usage for their high-end smartphones.

Regarding sequential read would be the speed at 850MB / s and sequential write could do memory 260MB / s. The storage is built around Samsung’s V-NAND chips and take up less space than an external micro SD card, the company claims.

According to Samsung makes memory downloading it possible to display a 4K movie on one screen while searching for images or videos. When the first mobile devices to the memory appear on the market is not known.
