Samsung today announced the expansion of its electronic payment service, Samsung Pay, to be available in four new markets, including the UAE, to be the first Arab.

“Samsung Electronics today celebrates the continued growth and enthusiasm of Samsung Bay worldwide by expanding into four markets over two days,” said South Korea’s electronics giant in a statement on its blog. “Samsung Bay is officially available in Sweden and the UAE and the early testing phase begins in Hong Kong and Switzerland.”

Samsung, which launched its first electronic payment service in South Korea less than two years ago, said that the launch of Samsung Bay in Sweden and the UAE is the first in the Middle East and Scandinavian markets, while its launch in Hong Kong and Switzerland Commitment and strength in the Asian and European markets.

The company has already started the early testing phase of its financial services in Sweden in March and in the UAE earlier this month. As of today, the service will be fully subsidized in both countries.

Samsung is competing for services such as Google’s Android Bay and Apple’s Apple Cable. The latter is available in some new markets on Samsung, including Hong Kong and Switzerland, but it is still not available in Scandinavia and the Middle East.

Today, Samsung Bay is available in 14 countries around the world, including South Korea, the United States, China, Spain and a number of markets in Asia, Europe and Latin America.
